AiM MyChron dashes in some applications require an RPM filter to smooth out the signal from the ignition to the dash. (The Bosch Blue coil typical in FF1600 applications is one example.) If your AiM dash has a jagged RPM trace or if the shift lights come on erratically, this RPM filter (AiM ARP03) should cure the problem.
Simply connect the white wire to your coil signal wire (or the blue wire to your ECU rpm signal wire), and the other three wires to power, ground, and the AiM dash.
