The hardware behind a properly tuned Yamaha: standalone engine management, sensors, dashes and the supporting electronics for the GP1800R and FX SVHO/HO, SuperJet, EX and VX. This is the equipment we build race skis on, not accessories.
What's in this collection
- Standalone ECUs: MoTeC and FuelTech engine management for race builds that outgrow the factory ECU, with Yamaha-specific plug-and-play harnesses
- Sensors: wideband lambda (O2) kits, EGT, pressure and temperature sensors, and the installation hardware to fit them
- Dashes & data: AiM and FuelTech dashes and data loggers, GPS, and RPM filters for Yamaha ignition
- Ignition & electrical: coils, Brisk multi-spark plugs, batteries, wiring and connectors
- Tuning tools: the equipment used for calibration and diagnostics on the 1.8L and TR-1 platforms
Factory ECU or standalone?
For a stock or bolt-on Yamaha, a factory ECU tune by RTD or mail-in is the right call. When the build moves to big supercharger, injectors, boost or race fuel with data logging, the factory ECU runs out of room and a MoTeC or FuelTech standalone takes over.
