The Billet Supercharger 10mm Shaft Dual Ball Bearing Upgrade Kit for Yamaha SVHO is a robust solution designed to enhance the durability and performance of Yamaha SVHO superchargers under high-performance conditions. This kit replaces the original 8mm shaft with a stronger, one-piece 10mm shaft that includes a gear with a longer thread. This modification allows for the use of aftermarket impellers, including future models requiring a longer shaft with a built-in nut design from Fizzle Racing and others.
The kit's back plate is crafted from billet aluminum in a two-piece design, adding extra o-ring sealing against common leak points in the stock setup. This upgrade is essential for repairing superchargers damaged by shaft failure, as it replaces all susceptible components while retaining the integrity of the front cover and center housing.
Featuring dual ceramic ball bearings, this upgrade surpasses traditional journal bearings by ensuring perfect shaft alignment and smoother operation, which supports the supercharger clutch. The kit includes a thrust bearing to support the ball bearing, a back cover for the rear ball bearing, and a strong oil slinger that effectively seals oil on the compressor side.
