JC Racing Rear Sponsons for Kawasaki SXR800 & Yamaha SuperJet - JCR-1070-SET
These rear sponsons are a direct bolt-on handling upgrade for the 2003-2011 Kawasaki 800 SX-R and 2008-2020 Yamaha Superjet 701. They add rear bite and stability to help the ski hold a cleaner line in turns, reduce porpoising, and keep the hull more settled at higher speeds. Built from 316 marine grade stainless steel, they are made for riders who want more predictable cornering without a complicated install. Does not fit models not listed above.

➕ Performance Benefits 🔽
  • More corner grip: Adds useful surface area at the rear of the hull so the ski stays planted harder through turns.
  • Better high-speed control: Helps reduce porpoising and improves straight-line stability when the water gets rough or the pace picks up.
  • Simple bolt-on install: Designed for direct installation with included hardware on the listed Kawasaki and Yamaha stand-up models.

On the water, rear sponsons change how the ski reacts when you load the hull in a turn. Instead of feeling loose or sketchy at the rear, the ski tracks more consistently and responds with less wandering. That matters on freeride skis and race-oriented stand-ups where rider input is constant and small handling changes are easy to feel. If your SXR800 or Superjet tends to bounce, hunt, or lose confidence mid-corner, this is the kind of hull setup part that addresses those issues directly.

The stainless construction also makes sense for long-term use in fresh or saltwater environments. These are not cosmetic add-ons. They are functional handling parts intended to improve grip and stability where the rider will notice it most.
